Raid

I like to think of myself as a starving artist but I'm neither starving, nor an artist.

Coping with the recent cockroach infestation is easier when you have some sort of romantic mythology about it. Since freaking poison isn't doing its job.

It would make the illusion more believable if you lived in a garrett. Do you live in a garrett?

SORRY! We had a roach infestation last year and it SUCKED. I still have nightmares. The stuff that worked best for us was this from home depot: http://www.homedepot.com/p/Ortho-Home-Defense-Max-Insect-Killer-24-oz-Ready-To-Use-Spray-0195610/203687638#.UfA80m3DKBo

Also, we had to caulk every possible opening and hole in the entire house - especially around plumbing fixtures (like where the pipes meet the drywall). We also replaced all of our weather stripping on our front door and unscrewed many of the vents in our house and dropped little bait boxes inside. Most importantly, we have to follow a super strict cleaning regimen to this day! Every night the floors all get swept and vacuumed, we can't leave a crumb on the counter or a dish in the sink. All the appliances get pulled out and swept under (and sprayed under). It's annoying but we've been doing it for so long we can get it all done in 20 minutes every night before going to bed and we don't wake up to a bunch of dead or half dead roaches anymore. They just stay out now. :-)
